Hello and welcome to my little corner of the world!
My name is Ruwan,i have a journalism degree also worked as journalist before.Now I’m the proud host of Ridge Boundary View, Dambulla SriLanka a peaceful homestay tucked away in the serene countryside of Sri Lanka. Before creating this quiet retreat, I spent years working as a journalist, traveling across my island home, listening to stories, capturing culture, and falling deeper in love with the real heart of Sri Lanka—its people, nature, and traditions.
That journey inspired me to do something more personal. I wanted to open my doors not just to guests, but to curious souls who truly want to experience the beauty of rural Sri Lankan life. And so, Enriched Boundary View was born—not just as a place to sleep, but as a home where travelers can live like a local.
Here, you can wander through rice fields at sunrise, watch birds flutter above the misty hills, and join in on traditional farming tours. You can taste the warmth of a home-cooked Sri Lankan meal made with love, take part in our free cooking classes, and feel the slow rhythm of countryside life. It’s quiet, calm, and deeply connected to nature.
But for me, hosting is also about giving back. A portion of what we earn helps provide school supplies and support for underprivileged children in our village. I believe travel should create not just memories for visitors, but hope for locals too.
Starting this blog, Sri Lanka Unseen, has been another chapter in my journey. It’s my way of sharing the hidden gems of this magical island with the world—those secret spots, local legends, and everyday wonders that don’t always make it into guidebooks.
